Whole body health is important. There’s no doubt about that. From your head, all the way down to your toes, you should consider every part of your body when it comes to health – this includes the brain.

The brain is one of the most important parts of the body and certain foods can help improve brain health. The benefits of these foods are that they can:

  • Decrease stress
  • Increase memory
  • Improve mood
  • Help with depression
  • Aid with Alzheimer’s and dementia

So let’s discover what eight of these brain-boosting foods are.

1. Blueberries

  • Provides anti-oxidants
  • Flavonoids in blueberries improve memory, cognitive function, and improve learning
  • Decreases depression
  • Prevents inflammation

2. Avocados

  • Improves memory and concentration
  • Contains monounsatured fats, which decrease LDL (bad cholesterol) and increases HDL (good cholesterol)
