Christine Blanchette

Christine Blanchette is an avid high performance runner who started the Run Club at the City of Richmond and went on to teach faculty and students at the UBC Athletics. She started running marathons in 1999, completed the Vancouver Marathon in a qualifying time for Boston, and a year later competed in the 50 km ultra-marathon in Victoria, BC. Christine’s passion for running, health and fitness inspired her to create, produce and host BC’s only Running, Fitness and Health show on Shaw Television called Run With It. Christine has become BC’s television running celebrity with 33,000 views per month and growing. Besides being a host of her own TV show, Christine is also a nationally published health and fitness writer. She’s a weekly writer for both the Richmond Review in BC and The Sherbrooke Record, Quebec’s second largest English language newspaper, plus does radio commentaries on running tips with CJMQ 88.9 FM in Quebec. Christine has also been a guest writer for The Seattle Times, The Vancouver Sun, Canadian Running Magazine, Huffington Post, Women’s National Post, Optimyz Magazine.

When you start a new workout routine or make a change in your exercise schedule you may often feel tired. Many people experience this whether it’s due to the amount of work we do every day or we’re giving ourselves that extra push in our workouts. But many times runners may feel that they’re feeling tired or as I would call it “burned out” for no reason – it may be due to the reason that we’re lacking iron in their everyday diet.
