While short track is essentially a form of speed skating, the difference is similar to running a sprint versus a marathon. Multiple skaters, usually between 4 and 6, skate on a tight oval ice track. They need to have a lot of power at the start to beat opponents along with balance and endurance.

Bungee resistance training helps with powerful explosiveness balance and stamina. It’s also an excellent tool off the ice, especially if your training for a marathon or triathlon.

To train like a short-track olympic athlete, use bungee resistance bands in your workout by attaching the bungee belt around your waist. Attach the resistance band to your belt, and have a partner hold the other end of the resistance band. Try different movements, always moving forward, You will experience a great range of movement that will allow you to begin trianing like a short track olympian.
