The First Step in Building a Hollywood Body

How many times have we marveled at how quickly actors can drop weight or bulk up for a movie role? How do they do it?

Hard work, dedication definitely play into their success but the Hollywood Body that you see on the big screen often begins with a body-brain connection that sets the tone and defines the goal.

Take celeb moms Jessica Alba, a client of mine, who dropped twenty-five plus pounds post-baby in a short time. Her goal to loose weight amplified once she accepted a photo shoot that had her wearing a bathing suit, just two and a half months post-delivery! With the stakes high she took things seriously. Her positive healthy mind was a driving force in the process!

After all, how often have we decided to do something extremely important in our lives  like climb the corporate ladder or create the ultimate wedding day? Have we not succeeded at things that have meant something to us? Our body-brain connection has been the reason why.

As Buddha said: “The mind is everything. What you think you become.”

So if that’s the case, can we think of ourselves as fit? Can we use our brain-power to create a new reality for ourselves? The answer is YES!

For me it’s always been about total wellness.  Having a body, mind, spirit connection is equally important to many of my celebrity clients. Taking the time to train and stimulate your brain helps you to achieve your goals.

People who have good emotional health are aware of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.  Your body responds to the way you think, feel, and act.  Untamed anxiety and anger can cause back pain, insomnia, ulcers, weight gain, and more.

Building up resilience can be your best ally – it’s the ability to cope with stress in a healthy way.  This can be accomplished by having a positive view of who you are as a person, by keeping things in perspective, and being open to accepting change.

Calming your body and mind with meditation guides your thoughts and brings your emotions into balance.  The goal is not to suppress feelings but to manage them.

Take control of your thoughts – it's where being healthy all starts!
