That’s but only one of the many types of vinegars, all of which are produced by a fermentation process where ethanol is broken down by acetic acid bacteria. White, or malt, vinegar as that type is referred to, is very generic in its applications, which range from flavouring all the way to cleaning and adhesive removal. Turns out that acetic acid stuff is quite something!
